Require help on the creation of Nortel passwords 1

Hi,

Could someone tell me what attributes I have to use to create logis and passwords for the following users:

1. Master User: I decided to user ADMIN2 and PWD2.
2. Super Users: I need two unique users with different logis but with the same level of access as in PWD1.
3. Read Only Users: I require unique users who can just log in and view ... ie.e. CDR collection.

You can assign overlay access (list of overlays the user has) and other attributes in LD17 REQ CHG, TYPE PWD

The easiest way to start is print what you have.

LD 22 REQ PRT, TYPE PWD

ie.e. CDR collection.. for cdr collection you set the user on that tty to cty.. you can not login to that port.. if you add user mtc and cty, you could log in..

passwords are easy in element manager.. the only decent use of element manager i ahve found

I tried to simulate that earlier, but it seems that USER1 & USER2 can only log on with the same password. Can I get them to have different passwords with the same user access level?

I used to have MTC on the CDR port, but removed it. So does this mean that I do not require to log into to collect CDR from the SDI port provided I match the data settings on the port?

First thing to do *while you are testing this* is make some other changes, otherwise you are likely to "lock yourself out" and have to wait the 30 minutes.

Read up on each of those in the books so you know what they mean. Or just take my advice

As for your issue, each user has a different password. The process of making the changes is a little confusing, I know. You'll get it.

I would also keep a user name of "admin1" if it were me. Then add your custom user names as needed.
