I have a customer with an older NEAX2000 IVS. They have eliminated some phone lines and need the programming on the system adjusted. I'm new to these NEC systems, and still learning the command structure. It's very different from the Vertical/Vodavi systems I generally work with. I've got all of the manuals (programming, installation, command, etc...) and I could use a bit of help.

They dial "9" on all of their phones to get an outside line. The system is currently configured to pick up an available line from a group of 9 lines. It appears to work in a circular pattern. They will only pick from 3 lines now instead of 9, so I need to remove the unused ones.

I think that I have the LENs for the lines that we are using and the LENs for the lines that are not connected anymore. Should I be using command 30 for this setup? Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction...

Yes, in command 3000 enter the trunk number and put the unused ones in route 63

You can also use CMD 10 and delete the trk #s such as Dxxx. Use CCC for deletion.
