We have a IPoffice Main site running 4.2.14
They have 3 remote sites running IP handsets with no issues.

They also want to deploy some fax machines to these locations.
We have done similar on Mitel sites using PAP2t ( sip- analog) devices. I understand that teh IP office does not support Sip Handsets , Does anyone know whether this is a feature that is coming in a future release ?
Can anyone offer a solution ?
The only thing i can think of is a central fax server and distruibution via the data network ( fax- email etc)

In 5.0 you can have sip endpoints
Then also T.38 is supported on those sip endpoints
Somewhere in september 5.0 is going GA

We have tested the Cisco 189TA on version 5.0 IPOffice goes well send fax to.

You wil need a SIP endpoint lic and upgrade to V5 and the V5 upgrde is free.

Can I ask how are you facilitating the links. If you are using an ADSL solution you could use the analogue line to get you temporary solution until r5 is here. I know how this things tend to slip. The alternative might something like Zeta Fax to provide a software based solution. Good until you need something signed and returned.

You could use AudioCodes MP112 with an IP endpoint licence for now it will use H323, and when you upgrade to V5.0 then you can change the firmware in the MP112 to SIP and it will then also support T.38
