Remote Office Design G430? SBC? SMGR? SM?

I am in constant battle with myself with the design on new remote office deploys.
Currently we setup G430 with LSP S8300E's and H323 phone. I typically just use a POTS line in MM711 card and if existing, set up PRI. I feel like this plan is out dated and am thinking of changing it.
We currently have SBC, SM and SMGR and have set up a few SIP phones at corp location. I am interested in hearing what other users have done and the going forward plan?

My thought is possible Media Server implementation also.
So maybe a G430 with SM or SMGR setup in 8300 and SIP phones with ELIN? Should I install SBCE at each location as well? Not sure, but I want to put a plan in place and execute.

Thanks in advance

Existing is fine but Avaya has been pushing everything to SIP. If you have the spare equipment it can't hurt to set up a dev environment.

Keep it simple as long as you can. You current setup is fine for a remote site.
Only way I would think of changing that is if the remote site was hugh, then it may make sense to add local SIP trunking. But if you are going to look at doing thatI would recommend you make that a ESS site that would take over for you main site in case it goes down.

Really depends on what you want to get out of your endpoints.

Your setup is simple, straight forward, and works well.

If you are looking at Skype integration with Avaya Communicator for Microsoft Lync or using the Avaya Equinox SIP client both on and off net then maybe you might want to go SIP. Use the S8300 with BSM and add a Portwell SBC for localized trunks or simply forget the S8300 and install a small VMware server with CM/SM/SBC (especially of your pushing the limit of 1000 stations at the remote site). VMware is more flexible. May want to see what IT is doing at remote sites. Do they have a DNS/AD Server? Can all the applications be put on VMware? Or is there an internal political problem with mixing systems.
