Installing a Mini Carrier Remote via T1 link.
Does anyone have any tips. Do I need to program the cards or can I go with the default.
Any recommendations on the SDI verses MMI.
This is my first install on a remote mini.

I beleive you can follow along with the book and be alright. I started to put one in a couple of years back but they changed their mind and went with the MCK remote office. Sorry I could not help you more but I'm sure someone here can get you pointed in the right direction.

Is anybody using these lately? don't seem to be.

They work fine you don't have to really do anything different. I have a couple of them and the only time I have trouble with them is when the t-1 goes down..

Ok I'm able to talk to the local MMI and the remote MMI when physically there. But when logged into either side I can not see the other side. I have RED Card status lights on the cards. When I use the S C command I get from the MMI I get:

"Flash marked uninstalled. Unable to save provisioning to Flash Memory"

Do you have any idea what that might be telling me.

Update with Remote Carrier:
Ok looks like the books are pretty right on with this installation. We brought the remote cab back and installed it next to the main cab with a T1 crossover cable and everything came up just like it was suppose to. Another lesson learned when dealing with Telco, they swore that it was not a T1 issue and that there was nothing they could do.
