Hi,
I would like to connect with Remote Desktop to Windows 7 Enterprise Edition Service pack 1 (=remote computer), but I am unable to connect. I tried the following:
1. I can ping the IP of remote computer successfully.
2. I have turned off firewall on remote computer to be sure firewall does not block any remote desktop connections.
3. I have checked Remote Desktop service (Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services) is started on remote computer.
4. Then I have checked Control Panel | System | Remote Settings and I was surprised to see no settings available for remote desktop. See my print-screen of this Remote Settings window:
I expected to see the following window: - notice the difference, bellow is remote desktop section that is just not available on my Windows.

How to enable remote desktop connection to my remote Windows?
Thanks

You have enabled remote assistance not remote desktop (2 completely different things)

In cmd I have executed command: winver and it displayed Windows 7 Enterprise

I followed group policy instructions and this is not a problem.

Occasionally, a Windows security update to RDP may not install properly. First, under "Control Panel -> Programs and Features", click View installed updates. Look to see if you have KB2621440 installed. If so, remove it and reboot. Check to see if your RDP options are back. If so, I recommend reinstalling KB2621440, since it's a necessary update.

If that doesn't resolve it, you may be faced with removing SP1 and reinstalling.

It's also worth mentioning that Windows 7 Home doesn't support Remote Desktop. You must have the Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise edition. I know you said you have Enterprise, but for anyone searching on this thread later, that may help to know.

Just as an aside, try UltraVNC as another option, just in case you can't get it workign or prefer a different approach.
