I have a windows domain with a new W2K3 box we are using as a storage server. I'm using BackupExec 10 on a W2k server. I need to install the rant64 files and the box doesn't seem to like it. I have also tried the rant32 files and nothing happens. Can someone please assist me in this install?

What version of Backup Exec ? is the storage server 32 or 64-bit?

Version is 10 and the server has a 64 bit processor.

You need to upgrade to 10.1 with Backup Exec 10.1 HOTFIX 1 and SP2

After you upgrade to 10.1 under agent directory you will see two folder for 64-bit installs. If your server is 64-bit extended chip set use the EXT folder.

I will give that a shot, Thank you very much for the assistance!

BTW 10.1 is free upgrade.

You will see a RANT64 and RANT64EX folder under agent directory. I suspect the RANT64EX is the one you want. But the isntall will tell you wrong processor type then use RANT64 install folder

Thank you again for the assistance.

I've been looking on the Veritas website, how and where do I get the upgrade to 10.1?
