I have a customer that is unwilling/unable to route between their data and voice vlans (don't ask)

I have been asked if the WAN port can be used for access for maintenance.

I have seen some threads in the past regarding using the WAN port for remote access but details are/were scarce.

Has anyone used the WAN port in this fashion and can they give me so details for "How To"?

The WAn port will be connected to a private internal address off the data network.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I looked into this a while ago. Helpfile says you can use 'remote access' form to enable PPTP on the WAN port including defining a local IP once authenticated. However, never got round to testing it.

Hi, Is it a standalone system? If yes, you may try following settings:
1) configure 3300 WAN IP as data vlan IP address
2) configure 3300 Default Gateway = 3300 L2 switch IP address
3) In Port Forward table, Add a new entry: TCP src start port= 443, src end port= 444 (don't use 443 as end port), Dse IP = 3300 IP address, Dst End port = 443.

After that, you should able to access 3300 via vlan ip address.
