Whenever I dial 9 and make an external call it takes about 8-9 seconds for the call to connect to the intended party .How can I reduce this time ?

In System Manager go to:

1. System
2. Telephony
a. Dial Delay Time (seconds)

Reduce this time but be careful. Too much and the system will cut you off before you finish dialing.

You may also press # after dialing. Pressing # is like hitting send on your cell. Otherwise the system waits for additional digits.

The system doesn't know if you are dialing local, ld or international.

in ARS delete the xN and XXXXN shortcodes and make new ones
1xxxxxxxxxx
dial
1N
your line ID

xxxxxxxxxx
dial
N
your line ID

then all the freaky ones

411
dial
411
your line ID

811,311,511.... all numbers you will need to dial that are not 10 digits or 1 + 10 digits

310xxxx
dial
310N
your line ID

that way your system know exactly how many digits to expect and will dial as soon as you have dialed the last digit, but if you forget something it will not let you dial it so make sure you have all the oddballs covered
