in the 46xxsettings.txt change the line ## SET PHNOL 9
remove ## and change the 9 in to what you need
i am not sure if this will work but give it a try

thanks peter for your reply but i am sorry, it is not the redial button! it is using the "call" display button when you select "log" display button for any missed, received or previously dialed extension.

i dont think that there is an entry for such thing in the settings file, is there?

is this just a standard in avaya phones and system or it can be solved?

thanks indeed,

Abdullah Ali

We've had the same issue for years... adding the line "SET PHNDPLENGTH 4" into the settings.txt file where 4 is the internal ext length should fix this but every now and then the problem re-occurs.

usually rebooting the phone fixes this for a while!

Thanks alot TykeUK that fixed the problem at least for now
