We have a couple clients that over the past couple of months have come to the same problem. The norton Realtime virus scanning just stops working. It's checked off to run but doesn't. also, all the virus definition versions are no longer dates, but numbers ... currently 60112w (rather than 02/12/2004 rev.12). both are running on Windows 2000 DC's with the scan engine version 4.1.0.6. one is norton Corp. 7.51.847 running standalone and requires a script for the updates (will not do it on it's own), the other is 7.50.846 managing 12 clients, updating ok.
