YIKES!!! Can someone help please?

Occassionally the president of our company receives a phone call to his VM box in the middle of the night. The VM says he has a message from x 6663. When he retrieves the message there is no message. It has happened on several of our 6xxx extension number over the years. They always go to this one particular extension that happens to be the president. Help. Where would I start to look? Thank You,

what is 6663 built as?

It is just an analog. I have removed the path to VM & the VM box.

The president is 4111. Do ya think maybe they were dialing 411? All of the 6xxx numbers are in one group together that go out the same trunks they just can not dial LD. They have their own COS for no LD. Whenever someone calls this 4111 it is always from a 6xxx number which is in our apartments. He has called several times to say this happens to him @ once a month.

yes. people forget to dial 9+411.. only option is change his dn.. couple of hints.. don't give him 1800..

in sc we can't use 803+ 864+ etc because of miss dials.. i would not give 411 to someone i didn't like..

calls happen late at night, after happy hour?

Well yeah people are probably dialing 411, then dial an extra 1 because they don't hear ringback.
The usual thing in your arrangement would be to use the Multi-tenant software to control tenant-to-tenant and tenant to trunk access.

you could also use pre-translations to block calls to 4xxx

but pre-trans would block all internal calls to any 4 digit from anyone with that trans table..

tennant or cust would be a lot of changes.. unless prez has that number tattooed somewhere, i would change it

Like John said, change his extension to something they would never dial, you can even go so far as enter his 4111 in the IDC table so he doesnt lose any external calls.

OK here is one for you. There is no phone plugged in, and there never has been. So that would be different than a misdial to 411. Ideas?

If there is not a phone there, why not just out it? If you need redirect to your 4300 number, make it a ACDN.
