I'm still somewhat of a beginner when it comes to PBX things.

Currently our 1 ran route(MP3 Player) that we use for music is giving a problem. This may also be normal behavior though, it's just annoying.

What happens is when listening to it, while in hold of one of our queues(Using CC6), the music goes to static/blank when the caller talks or there is a lot of background noise.
When in a silent room not talking, or muting the mic it is fine. I'm not sure if this is some kind of 2-way canceling feature or something of the sort, but is there a way to play the ran route without interference from the caller?

you have the trunk programed as mus? post the rdb and trk..

a mus trunk is one way, not iao, you can yell at it without going to transmit mode and muting the far end when it's programed right

Let me know if you need more output.

Our music is an mp3 player wired into the first pair of a univ trk card

I would be looking at the interface/matching transformer between the player and the trunk card.

Generally, you can't just connect an audio output right to the trunk without "matching" it to be a 600 ohm interface. Like this for example:

Sorry we have a converter connected to the mp3 player for this purpose, and then wired onto a bix connected to the card

How is the Trunk Data Block (TN) programmed?
