3 IP500v1 systems networked in a SCN. The remote sites have analog trunks and get routed to an automated attendant on the vm pro server at the hq. When a caller is answered by the AA, touch tones are not always heard by the AA. Also users at the remote sites claim that when they login to voicemail, that touch-tones are not always recognized. If the main site is rebooted, then things seem to work for about a week.

Thinking about downgrading back to 8.1.56.

The customer always wants the latest software available on their systems...plus the they believe there is enhancements to the one-X mobile preferred with the latest one-x portal server.

8.1.63 has the same bugfixes as 8.1.56 so why not using it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

This brings a good question - What is the difference between using the Feature Pack (latest build) and using the Q4 build?

Almost nothing.
Q4 was released while FP1 was still in trial (almost done)
FP1 has new and editted already existing features while Q4 was a maintenance release.
FP1 has also the bugfixes as the Q4 release has.
So in my opinion you better use 8.1.63

I think you should play with the attenuation settings on you analog linese
Gains:
These settings are used to adjust the perceived volume on all calls.
• A -> D: Default = 0dB. Range =-10.0dB to +6.0dB in 0.5dB steps.
Sets the analog to digital gain applied to the signal received from the trunk by the system. To conform with the Receive Objective Loudness Rating at distances greater than 2.7km from the central office, on analog trunks a receive gain of 1.5dB must be set.
• D -> A: Default = 0dB. Range =-10.0dB to +6.0dB in 0.5dB steps.
Sets the digital to analog gain applied to the signal from the system to the trunk.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
