Hi all, just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet...as we haven't and it's due rather soon :)

ACS - IP Office Implement

"What the Crocodile Hat....was that?

Took me 3 hours. Ended up getting on a train going AWAY from the office so that I could get on another train going back in. Going to be more fun getting back...

Don't ask me, I didn't design it.

We are just using LogMeIn from home and then just dialling out ISDN from our laptops in the office with jobs coming in via outlook web access .......customers don't know any diferent :)

Guys,

I'm trying to connect a 9630 (CM) set to the IpOffice R6, with no luck.
I've tried the Manager, the Memory card and MV_Iptel as a server but without results.
I see in the monitor "403 Forbidden".

Any suggestions?

Setup an IIS server (default on win XP setup) then put all the nessecery files in C:\Inetpub\ don't use MV_IPtel will not work.

Are you trying to connect a 9630 on sip ?
This is not supported but it is possible.

SIP Settings:

SIP Mode: Proxied
SIP Domain: IP address of IPO
Avaya Environment: No
Transport Type: UDP
SIP Proxy Server: IP address of IPO
Avaya Config Server: blank
User ID Field: Yes

Login:

Username: Extension
Password: User>Telephony>Supervisor Settings>Login Code
SIP ID: Username

You will not get this to work using anything other than an embedded VM card or generic flash card as the TFTP/HTTP server, if you read further up this thread (before the halpfway point) you will see I westled with this a while before I figured that out, the files required do not exist until ie creatd through the process of "uploading phone files" to the card via Manager :)

Oke guys, you all gave me enough food for thoughts.

@amriddle01; That’s the way I've tried it but without success.
@tlpeter; I'll try it when the phones accepted the R6 software ;-), sounds good.
@bas1234; I didn’t try it with ISS, but I will.

Thanks, I come back with the results.

Martin, it only works when it is already in sip mode !
So you must have it running on a CM already and change it from H.323 to sip.
Then you can connect it to the ipoffice.
But you will have limited functionality so it is not better !

@tlpeter - "Nice bug (but is also there in 5.0) is when you have development tracing turned on, in monitor, and you use DSS satus and click on a CA then the system reboots smile" --------- Maybe is something in your configuration. I tried to reboot my IP Office this morning and no luck! :)

@Bas1234: "It also reboots when you have a call and tranfer it to *34" ----- Maybe it is in 5.0? In 6.0 I tried and it makes the trasfer! I am not allowed to make a downgrade to 5.0 but it whould have been nice to see a reboot! :D

@tlpeter: "Are you trying to connect a 9630 on sip ? This is not supported but it is possible." ---- I believe you are wrong. I sow (don't know where) that they support 9620 with SIP so 9630 should also be supported, right? :D

Help me to help you! Helping each other makes us stronger, smarter!

Paul, indeed it is in 5.0 too
4.2 also has a problem but it does not reboot, it only generates an alarm.

I already connected a 9650 on sip firmware to the ipoffice on 5.0 and i know it is not supported, that is the fun of it.

Doing supported things are boring after a while :)

I just discovered the ability to put the name of the user on the display on 16xx handsets.

Features - Phone User - Phone Screen Settings - Display Name

Completely useless but thought I would mention it. I'm sure we've all been asked this by people who upgraded from 54xx handsets...

Don't ask me, I didn't design it.

So it is in the menu of the phone ?
Never saw it to be honest.

I just changed mine after reading TheSmashs post. changed it back straight away. it looks awful, why people are so obsessed with seeing their name when the date and time is far more useful is beyond me.

nice find though, have a star.

Tom if you leave the phone id1e for 30 seconds the date and time appear in the middle display part. This isn't so bad.

Also the status letters (G, N, O etc) move over to the far right at the top.

Don't ask me, I didn't design it.

One step further.

After unchecking the "only for Avaya clients" selection, the software was downloaded and installed, so far so good.
After a login (all?) functions seems to work.
The right way is, in my opinion, as amriddle01 describes, but in my case follows with the above mentioned tip from the R6 team.

Thanks guys!
