R3 MM and Lotus Notes Thick Client

Hello,

We are currently running R3.0 Mod Msg with MSS and using the web client.

Management is looking at rolling out Lotus Notes thick client. ( we use Lotus Notes for email)

I seem to recall reading that the Lotus Notes thick client doesn't play nice with R3.0 MM

Does anyone have experience using this setup..good or bad??

Just FYI the 3.0 is not supported any longer so i would upgrade first then roll it out.

What version of Notes are you running. We installed MM r3.1 when we were on Notes v6 and then upgraded to Notes v8 and I have since seem some issues (it sometimes just stops working). And the MM r3.1 Notes client is not supported on Notes v8. We are just about to upgrade to MM r5.1

Thanks for the reply. We are running Notes 6.5.6

I can get voice mails to come into the notes mail box, but the Notes data base won't link up with the MSS. When I input the MSS IP address from the data base, I get an error message from the MM saying "invalid login".

Any idea's why??

I did run this by tier2 at Ayaya, but they couldn't come up with a reason for the error.

Try using the domain name instead of the IP...

Example: 10.50.100.10 is AVAYAMSS01 - just use AVAYAMSS01 instead of the IP.

I'm running Notes 8.5 with LTC Template Version 4.0.0.3 (4/24/2008) and no hugely evident problems.

I have already tried using the domain name with no luck. I'm about ready to give up and wait for the MM to be upgraded so I can get some tier 3 support.
