A lot of people still using Digital sets. And yes most of Avaya customers using H323 phones because all of Avaya IP Phones such 4600 1600 9600 (still available for sale) over years are based on H323 protocol not SIP.
Yes it`s gone. We also face issues with this release on customer side with the web-services like OneX-Portal, IM and System Status.
This is pretty disappointing!!
A couple of bugs I witnessed had to do with User button:
1. The User button did not turn red if the user's phone was unplugged
2. The User buttons could not be edited or changed without removing all User buttons first, then merging, then re-programming the User buttons with the required changes.
I have only installed two small systems with no more than 8 digital phones each and analog trunks and not many features so there could be more wrong with this release than I saw.
We are on it in house only. We have been holding off on 11.1 for quite awhile since release and I'm glad we have. Ironically I'm the only one in the office with a 9508 digital phone and it seems to work just fine with user buttons, etc.. but it isn't running off any of the expansions modules listed in in SOLN359345
Same, we have stayed away from R11.1 since release. With R11.1.0.2 we were going to start using it more but I guess that flew right out the window. At this rate R11.1 won't be stable till R12 is released...
The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
Yes, I ran in to a problem and opened a ticket and they told me they pulled it from the download site. So glad they send out a notification or announcement to people (sarcasm).
My problem is upgraded the secondary and primary servers from 11.0.4.5 to 11.1.2. Primary and Secondary upgraded fine. Went to upgrade the 3 500V2 expansions and none of them we able to upgrade. Problem with pushing files to them or files missing. All IP Phones, no digital phones.
See this thread opened few weeks back. Tier 3 got back to me on Monday stating they were pulling 11.1SP2 from GA and R&D was working on a replacement SP to fix the issue.
Issue only appears on DS30B1 and DS16B1 expansion modules running in Avaya mode. If in Nortel mode issues aren't seen. DS30B2, DS16B2, DS30 and DS16 modules appear to upgrade and run fine. No word from Avaya Tier 3 yet on when to expect the fix to be published.
bdelmar - We've seen that issue as well - make sure to actually delete all IPO Manager files before installing the new Manager. Appears if you simply just upgrade your manager to a new release without actually deleting the old release - there's issues with files being corrupted or not copied over right.
cfritzbflo - you saw that on Server Edition or regular IPO? I did it on Server Edition and the 500v@'s get upgraded from the Primary Server, not through manager.
