Hi All,

I have a weird setup of H.323 IP Tie Trunk where we have implemented UDP. Site 1 has an extension 1000 while Site 2 has an extension 2000. The weird thing is when Site 1 calls site 2 locally meaning extension to extension and the caller was not able to call the other party and the call was tag as a missed call. By the time that the person is trying to push the LOG from the 4610SW Phone the display name of the caller is there but the "Extension Number" is not present or Unavailable. Could someone confirm if this is how it works or someone could elighten me in such way.

Your information is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and Have a great day ahead of you!

Thanks,

Freedom12

Are you sending calling number, connected number, and UCID over the IP trunk?

Thanks,
CJH

Hi CJH,

First of all I would like to thank you for the spare time you have with me on this inquiry. Anyways I tried conducting test calls using the extension number from site 1 to site 2 and I noticed from the call appearance of the phone that the trunk name is the only thing that I can see when I conducted the test call. I have pasted below the configuration of both tie trunks, can you please share me some points if I have missed something out and I would like to try it out here in our environment.

Have you tried to change Send UCID to a Y from a N?

Thanks,
CJH

Hi CJH,

Yes I've tried that already and it seems we are encountering the same scenario. I'm really confused where the problem relies. I'm in a cornere where there are no answers but I'll keep you posted and I've already ask for Avaya's assistance why this scenario happens. If something came up I will notify you also.

Thanks,

Hey Freedom,
Were you able to resolve the issue?
I am having the same issue going from CM to IPO. The name sends, but no calling number. I have tried changing just about every setting in the trunk and no luck.
Also, going from the IPO to the CM I only get NUMBER, not name. But that I think I just have to fix the formatting.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jerry
