Hi,

We have a 61c and 81c, connected via
TYPE:atvn
TRK:pri

Trouble is our voicemail system is off the 81c and calls coming from the 61c have a "H" in from of the caller id so the voicemail doesnt know what to do with it.
Ive changed CLS on a 500 set on the 61c to CLBD and it works fine as there is no caller ID.
Not sure why there is a H but we dont need it and would like caller id and voicemail.
Also as a side note CPND is not sent from the switch to switch either way.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The "H" is a hard coded option in the X11/X21 software that indicates a Private Network Call.

In the US, this cannot be turned off. In the UK, the vendor can apply a special type of patch to turn this off. In Switzerland, Swisscom (who has rights to the Nortel source code) has written special patches to modify or change this on some of the older releases.

This "H" shows up regardless if the call is Q.SIG, or MCDN. It is applied whenever the PRI Setup messgae is received with NUMBER PLAN: PRIVATE and TYPE OF NUMBER: ESN or CDP.

From Release 25.15 onwards a number of Product Improvement Patches (PIs) have been built into the software. These are called PLUGINs

To List/Enable/Disable these PLUGINs use the following commands

First login to pdt. NB All commands are in lowercase

1. To list status of all PLUGINs plp (PLP)
2. To list status of individual PLUGINs plp # (PLP #) where # is the PLUGIN number 0 - 14
3. To enable PLUGIN ple # (PLE #) where # is the PLUGIN number 0 - 14
4. To disable PLUGIN pld # (PLD #) where # is the PLUGIN number 0 - 14

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks for your help so far guys.
As a side note calls from the 81c to the 61c do not have a "H" and Vmail works fine, just 61c to 81c.

What load is the plugin commands used? im unfamiliar with that.

Thanks again.
