Hi I have several questions:
1)I want to send html base e-mail but Not all of my e-mails support html.
Is there a possibility to know if the user mail program can show Html and if not send him plain text?
2) How can I know if the user opened my e-mail?
3) how can I know if he click on the link in my e-mail.
4) how can I know if he forward the mail to his friend?

thanks in advance
ido

Hopefully this will help...
1. You cannot determine what program a person will use to read an email from the sending-side. However, you can keep the HTML to a minimum so that it will look good most of the time.
2. You can probably only tell if someone opened your email if you are on the same LAN as them (and have access to their mail server). For security, this is usually not possible with internet mail. If you were devious, you could attach scripts to the email to notify you (you may have the FBI and CICS hunting you down later).
3. By this do you mean, how do you know if a person hit your site from an email? If this is the case, add a query string to your url to indicate location and check for something in the query string through code. Example: 4. Again, you would probably have to be on the same LAN and have access to the LAN mail server.

Hope this helps.
