how do you determine whether or not an alias is in use

regards,

Thomas

have you try USED ?

select mytable
? used('mytable') && this display .T.

well, now you can use:
myalias=alias()
if used('myalias')
wait window "is used"
endif

a little error in code above

if used('&myalias')

*or

if used(myalias)

*not

if used('myalias')

..................
endif
