Hi Everyone,

I have a question on dialing 9 for an outside line on BCM50 R6

My current setup is the following:

All of my 4 lines are analog lines.

Line 061 has line access pool code as 801 and has line type as line pool A : POTS line.

Line 062 has line access pool code as 802 and has line type as line pool B : POTS line.

Line 063 has line access pool code as 803 and has line type as line pool C : Blue tooth gateway for the my cell phone (acts line a POTS line).

Line 064 has line access pool code as 804 and has line type as line pool D : access line to access my 1A2 Key systems intercom line. (no need to have the dial 9 for this line as its not a external phone line )

Currently when you dial 9 it only grabs line 061 and if that line is in use you will get a busy signal and no free lines message.

The only way that I can think of is putting all the lines in the same line pool but I will lose the ability to dial the specific line access pool code to select the specific line when I need to.

What I would like to accomplish:

What I would like to do is to dial 9 an outside line and the system grabs whatever line is available (lines 061 to lines 063) But I would like to keep the ability to select the specific line by using the specific line access pool codes or what ever method that could be used. The reason for this I have several analog phones.

Thanks Brian

I believe that once lines are together in a pool they will share the same code as the pool can only have one access code possibly. The only other way is to programme line buttons on the phones if the phone has free buttons. That way a specific line can be selected

Hi pabx1121,

Thanks for your help.... I am using analog phones like the 1a2 phones and cordless phones. The dial 9 issue would not be a issue on the nortal sets just the analog sets.

Get rid of the access codes in the dialing plan area and add them in the routing tables.

Create a new route for each access code.

I removed the access codes for the line pools and added them in the Routing and set up the service mode. It worked.....
