Hi,

Any one have route parameter for Nortel M1?
Call from Nortel is OK but call from MD110 is always failure. Notel tell me this is our fault because call from them get no problem. This is non-sense.

There is product bulletin regarding QSIG between M1 and BC11. Anybody can have this paper?

Thanks.

What a stupid answer from the Nortell people !
Post the ROCAP, RODAP, RODDP of the route you are using and ASPAP:pARNUM:223.

Yep, that was indeed a stupid question...

I notice one thing, when I make a outgoing call, channel one show some status change, then channel 2 also show some status change. This is strange as only one call is made.

Although Nortel insist this is our fault, I try to explain them, if I change some setting in VARI, they also cannot dial in.

doktor, you mean....

Don't waste our time. I just want to do my job compeltely.

Your data looks fine, so here we need a trace to see why Nortell don't accept the call.
Here you could make a trace in SLP60 and then use the STI tools from Ericsson to translate the trace.

Hi Mundus,

I am appreciate for your feedback. The STI has done but I don't know the contents as I am not the expert in this area. By the way, can you have a look in this trace so that I can discuss with Nortel staff in this problem?

As you can see the Nortell reject the call by a "Information element non-existing or not implemented"
so now is the question - which I.E. ?
You could try to change the SIG d12 to "0" but then there is no networks facilities, or VARI d4 to "0" pure ECMA ( is not described in Alex ). In both cases change also AS parnum 223 to "0"
Good luck !

Hi Mundus,

Thanks. I will try this tomorrow and will discuss with Nortel. But I am worry is no networks facilities!

I am thinking, VARI D1 is set to 3, which is ITU-T/ETSI, nortel tell me they don't understanding this, they only know ISO QSIG, will this be the cause? I have tried around D1 set to 4to 7 but with same result.

Could you teach me why VARI shall be changed, what I mean is -- is VARI only responsible for incoming route?

Hi Mundus,

After change the bit, result is the same. here is he feedback from Nortel Regional support.

"From the observation, I have some findings from the captured E1 PRI QSIG D-channel monitoring message logs.

Based on the D-channel message at test result from Nortel --> Ericsson, if Nortel haven't received the Call_Proc_message and Alert_message from Ericsson side, Nortel phoneset will not hear the ringback tone, but Ericsson phoneset still ringing and will hear silent even pick up the call.
Ericsson needs to clarify why they missed to send out the Call_Proc_message and Alert_message.

Based on the D-channel message at test result from Ericsson --> Nortel, Nortel received Call_Release message if the call fail to establish.
Ericsson needs to clarify why they send out Call "

Any idea?

Hi Mundus,

problem fixed by Nortel people. They change protocol from ISO QSIG to ITU/ETSI.

Anothe problem. Nortel call MD110, name display OK, MD110 call Nortel not work. I have started the STI and find that no name appear in the signal trace.

Any parameter I need to change?

Hi, the MD support name identity with ISO, so have you change the RODAP/ROCAP parameters ?

"problem fixed by Nortel people. They change protocol from ISO QSIG to ITU/ETSI" !!!???

Yes, they told me so. I haven't do anything yesterday and they change this setting. they have relevant information from Australia. After that, all basic call are OK.

May be still got something they haven't told me!

I will try the RODAP and ROCAP today.

Thanks.

Hi Mundus,

name ID is also fixed by Nortel. Not our MD110 fault.

Thanks for help.
