I have recently started with a new company and have been tasked to pull all of the existing configuration information out of the Voice Network and document it all (TFTP, Router, DNS, Option 176 setting, etc).
In the past I kept the Avaya IP worksheet when we had installs/upgrades. However the documentation was never retained and the person I replaced must have had it locked up in his brain as we cannot locate any documentation for any of the sites.
What is the most effective way of gathering this info at this stage? Is there a documented/proven way to pull this information? I have scoured Tek-Tips without any luck.

The info you are looking for is not really on the same server. If you know how to run reports using ASA, The system will pull it for you and you can direct all the reports to one directory on your PC. I suggest you pull the following reports for starters:

list config all (run this as a CSV file, not txt)
list extension
list node-names
list media
list surv
disp sys feat
disp sys cust
disp feat
disp dial ana

If you go into the programming, try doing list <help> and disp <help>. The screens should give you some more ideas of what to pull up.

If it is a S8300 or some other S version switch, you may want to open the web server and look at the system configuration files to see the IP structure, etc.

If you have a G350, G700, etc, you may need to connect to the console port and do a show system, plus some other commands.

Your Option 176 data will be in whatever computer is hosting the files and that is a separate process unless your server is doing that function.

When I log into the System config via webserver I get three options:
Installation -
Two options here are:
Avaya installation Wizard - started this and from what I read it doesn't appear that this will list the various LAN/IP settings that I am looking for but will allow me to set them

Configure Server - Started this and received a WARNING page that everything must be entered in order... etc. No option for listing existing settings

Administration -
Directory Application - LDAP settings

Native Configuration Manager - opened a Terminal emmulation type screen

Server (Maintenance) - Displayed the servers physical configuration

Upgrade -
Manage Software
Upgrade Tool

Can you tell me where to go to get the info I am looking for?

Thanks again.

Click the Configure Server link.
Then go through all the options to configure manually.
Then choose the options on the left.
DO NOT CHANGE OR SAVE, just view.

Perfect.

Exactly what I needed. Thank you
