Proper way to remove a Clan from system 1

I have a couple of CLANs in the system that I want to use for dedicated tie trunks, what is the proper/best way to remove them, allowing me to re-add them for a IP tie trunk usage.

do I
remove the data module association
remove the node name
remove the circuit card ???

"change ip-interface 01AXX", change "Enable Ethernet Port?" to a "n", save the form

"remove data xxxx"

"remove ip-interface 01AXX", save the form.

"change node-name ip", adjust the IP address for the node-name or change the node-name

re-administer everything. If you have anything on the IP-Services form that used this CLAN, you will of course have to remove that first, before you can do anything above..

As you stated I tried to "remove ip-interface 01AXX", save the form. I got the response "name is defined on the ip services form can not be modified. I am on cm 2.2 software, which is the ip services form ?

change ip-services", anything that references that CLAN board will need to be disabled first, then go back into the form and remove it. Write down what you removed, because you probably want to add it back in.

You may have SAT or CDR entrie that needs to be disabled then removed.

ok i found the ip service form and it states that this clan was used for an old witness system, I tried to remove the service and it is now telling me that it has to be disabled how do i diable the DAPi service

mitch thank you for the help .. being my first time and unsure I hunted and pecked to make sure I was not inducing any unnecessary alarms. With your help I was able to remove the reassign the CLAN in question. thank you
