I'm new to hunt groups. I want the receptionist 221 to ring about 3 times, then ring a group of 5 extensions on incoming PRI line 157. I can get to hunt groups in programming but a little fuzzy after that. Can I have it do this just between 9 am and 6 pm? Thx

what are you expecting it to do from 6pm to 9am the next day?

I'm hoping the AA can take over after hours as it does now after 4 rings. They have a CP150 with basic call center but I was thinking building a hunt group would be easier than setting this up in call center which is something else I haven't done before. What do you think?

Call center is the way to go if people don't mind logging in to receive their calls. It has advantages. You could forward x221 to a hunt group, too. Either will work.

Call Center you would have to have the agents login in but works well and puts calls into queue if need.

If you want Hunt Groups I would suggest putting 221 as a member in HG001 and the rest of needed sets in HG001
Use Broadcast
Assign lines to HG001
Have HG001 overflow to HG002
Have HG002 Overflow back to 221 so it will end up in their mailbox.
Double check the guide for HG setup's a has usefull info.

You cannot program HG's for times of day but it can be overridden by Night Service at 6pm when it kicks in.

Curlycord: I'm guessing you intended this sentence: "If you want Hunt Groups I would suggest putting 221 as a member in HG001 and the rest of needed sets in HG001"

To read: "If you want Hunt Groups I would suggest putting 221 as a member in HG001 and the rest of needed sets in HG002"

I'd rather learn from other peoples mistakes than have them learn from mine!

So with this set up, it will ring at 221 first, then roll to HG001. Then if no one answers, it will roll to HG002 (221). If I set it up to overflow back to 221, won't it just repeat the cycle and not go to 221s mailbox? Happy New Year by the way.

Sorry chirkware your right.

So no map....it will ring 221 (HG001) then overlow it to HG002, have HG002 then overflow to 221 (not HG001) so that it rings one last time at 221 (without the HG) and hits G.D. box. after the FNA to vmail ring setting.
