programming a m7310 from another m7310?

Hey guys,

Not sure if I am in the right place to ask this but I figure better to ask then to not!

I have a M7310 phone that no matter what button I press (including feature) dials to the same internal extension. I am curious how I can go about fixing this issue. I assume I can get into that phone from another phone and program like that but I was hoping for some direction. As I await a response I will continue looking up what I need and if I find my own answer I will update it here. I downloaded a PDF for the M7310 but most of the shortcuts and feature + buttons don't work so I must have a bad manual...

It sounds as if you have a faulty M7310 phone. I've never known a Norstar phone dialling another extension number when the Feature key is pressed. I think you should unplug the phone and give all the keys a good testing in case any of them are stuck. I've had cases where muck has got into the keys and I even took the cover off to clean it out. The keypad inside might need checking.

Also check that the phones line cord isn't damaged.

You have one of the 12 buttons on the top that stuck. Probably just a corner.

So you were both right! First I plugged the phone into a known working line and it was doing the same thing. Then I went to my compressed air and blew the nonsense out of it! Now it is working like new!

Another problem solved! Thanks a lot you guys are the best!
