Program errors

Hi All,

Running Windows 2000 SP3 and Office 2000.

Everything has been running fine for about the last year. But yesterday, I started having problems with Office programs and my labeling software.

Whenever I run M.S Word, or Bartender (Label Software) I keep getting the following error:

"Program Error: <process has already exited> has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created."

I have run a complete virus scan, and I have used SpyBot and Adaware to clean the system, but it still is happening.

I have also checked the event viewer to see if any errors are being recorded, but nothing is showing.

Has anyone seen this before??

Not seen it - but have you tried reinstalling/repairing Word (Office?) & Bartender?

I have seen errors like this before, it could be the software has become corrupt in which case the above would be a good option (it may be worth uninstalling them first and doing a clean install) this should cure the problem

OR

it may be that some windows files have become corrupted, in which case you may need to reinstall windows, in most cases you can do this over the top without affecting your current set up

Have you tried to empty Temp Folder under your profile? In most of cases I have similar problems, that solves.

Hi All,

Thanks for the responses. It turned out to be a corrupt printer driver.

Once I re-installed the printer, all applications started working fine again.
