We have been having problems with a 2 baystack config. Basically we have 2 baystack daisy-chained to each other and on the ends we have a 3com Lanplex 2500 bridge at either end. The site lock-up occurs when you open up the ports that connect the baystacks together and the ports that connect the 3com gear. A complete storm ensues.
Any thoughts??

RL,

Have you got spanning tree enabled on the Lanplex and/or Baystack 450 ports? Without it you will create a loop and so bring down the whole network. If you have, what is the spanning tree status of the connecting ports (i.e. forwarding, blocking, learning) ?
