problems one strating SQLserver7.0

hy ppl...
i have in my machine sqlserver 6.5
and i 've installed sqlserv7 without remove the previus version...
my problem is when i open entreprise maneger in sql7 it ask's me for a server...
i install a server (local) and then when i try to open it and work to design my BD's it opens the entreprise manager of sql6.5

in my previous experience with sql7 was along time ago and it was alredy redy to work.
if any one could help me i will thank very much

If you have both SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0 installed on your server then only one instance can be active at any one time. It sounds like you server is currently running the 6.5 version.

To switch from SQL Server 6.x to SQL Server 7.0

On the Start menu, point to Programs/Microsoft SQL Server - Switch, and then click Microsoft SQL Server 7.0.
SQL Server Setup switches from Microsoft® SQL Server™ version 6.x to SQL Server 7.0.
