It's me again. I appreciate everyone's help. Seems like my G3 is about to kiss the baby. Well maybe.

Here is my issue. I can't dial Texarkana with the 899 prefix.

what I have done:

ch ars an 19

190 is listed as:

190 11 11 3 fnpa

1903 is listed as:

1903 11 11 10 fnpa

Switch will allow me to dial 903 xxx-xxxx but will not allow 903-899-xxxx

What is going on here?

I would do a reset but have PRI's and tie lines and am afraid that I may run into trouble getting the ties back up.

Perhaps the switch is taking forever to refresh with the additions?

Do a list trace station xxxx Then let us know what it's showing from there. Your change to the ARS table should be immediate. Also, the changes you made If you can dial 903 xxx-xxxx but not a 903 899 the ARS table would have to read "1903899 11 11 10 fnpa" specific, so as long as you don't have something along those lines, you should be fine. If you can do the list trace, do that first.

Ok. did the list stat tra and here is what I found:

idle stat 2732 cid0x159
tone-receiver port 01A010201 cid0x15b
active stat 2732 cid 0x15b
dial 91903899
term trunk-group 1 cid0x15b
dial 19038993015
route-pattern 10 preference 1 cid0x15b
seize trunk group 1 member 38 cid0x15b
setup digits 19038993015
calling number 2148802732
proceed trunk group 1 member 38 cid 0x15b
denial event 1164: ISDN call reject D2=CV D1=0xac D2= 0x201

Bottom line is that I am still getting denied.

Left everything in the ARS as listed above.

Thanks for all of your help so far. I have never run into this trouble before.

If this is the only number you're having problems with, then I would call the provider and ask them what they are seeing. The ARS table isn't your problem, because it's pushing the call out over the T1 as it's supposed to. On some services, I know they've been looking for SDN, but if it's only one number, I would second guess that.

I'll give them a call. I just found it funny that the entire 903-899-xxxx will not work at all

call xo they prob need to put 899 in the switch translations.

Thanks to everyone. I had to escalate the problem to XO on a national level. Turns out not even XO could hit that prefix through their own switches. Took a couple of days but everyhitng is fine now. I think I lost weight from all of the hair that fell out. <grin>
