Problem when using OCX control in Visual Fox 5, 6

I have just downloaded an OCX control (AxShadeButton) from

http://www.codeproject.com.

But when I insert it to my form and run, Visual Fox was hang. How will I do to make that OCX control work with my form ???

Because many OCX developers (especially the freeware/shareware purveyors) don't follow the official specifications for OCXs, many simply won't work with VFP. (Even some profession developers take the attitude that if it works in VB it's good enough! <s>) Consider an equivalent control from DBI Tech (

or Mabry (

they both test their controls under VFP, and I found have very helpful staffs.

Could you have forgotten to put:

_VFP.AutoYield = .F.

in the Load event of your form?
