Hi
I have a problem to setup VLAN for voice and multiple data.
IP Phone is set in VLAN 1
IP Office is set in VLAN 1
Voicemail Pro in VLAN 1
Department Sales PC are set in VLAN 2
Department TechSupport PC are set in VLAN 3

This means that the PC with PhoneManager are not able to receive BLF updates from the IPOffice. Update BLF broadcast (255.255.255.255)
A second Ethernet connection (IP412 or IP406V2 soft 4.1) will not be the solution, I guess. More than 2 VLAN’s to be connected to the IPO

Thanks

Paul

What type of IPO processor do you have?

It would be possible to use the LAN1 port on the Voice network and the LAN2 on the Data network.

I did this with a Small Office unit to allow separation of the Voice and Data networks for a small customer.

With that, you could use the IP Address of the Data VLAN for the PC's using the Phone Mgr, Softconsole, etc.

Thanks,

Tim

Thats a solution if there are only two VLANs, he is asking a solution for multiple VLANs.

Most modern layer three switches and routers can be programmed to use UDP broadcast forwarding based on the portnumber.
So basically program the switch or router in such a manner that the broadcasts from IP Office on port 50799 ( or whatever the number is )are forwarded to the other VLANs.

It is something like the ip-helper command which forwards broadcast DHCP requests.

Or put the IPO in the data vlan and enable QOS throughout.
