Hi,

I use shortcode for giving a user his outgoing number.

I am using version 4.0.7 / IP500

I put this under User - Shortcode:

Code: ? Telephone number: .s01234567 (example telephonenumber) Feature: Dial Line Group Id: 0

When I call from this user, I get a random outgoing number from the company.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Kristof

Run an isdn trace and see what you are sending.

If you are sending the right number and that is not appearing at ther end then the network is changi g it somewhere down the line.

Remember you can only send a CLI that is a valid number on that circuit.

For instance if you have 2 bearers and they have different numbers you can only send the numbers assigned to bearer A as a CLI over bearer A, if you attempt to send it over bearer B then the network may reject or normalize that number.

Try using 'dial' instead of 'dial line group id', this works fine on our system.

Thanks guys for the fast replies.

To PlatinumGuy:

SOrry for the question, but an isdn trace, how can I run it?

Thanks

To jonlovjoy:

Thanks man, but I am alraidy using Dial :) (I forgot add the info :) )

Thanks

Using system monitor.

Filters/trace options/default all then enable everything in the isdn tab.

run the monitor, capture a call.

Hi,

Thanks PlatinumGuy.

I copy-past the log in here:

I am calling from 248 to 0498175805, Outgoing number should be 034582552, I am getting 034582902 (Changes everytime, sometimes I'm getting the right one...)

Can you please check for me if you see something strange?

Thanks Thanks Thanks!

You can see in that trace that the calling party number is correct.

If this is not what is being displayed at the other end then the network is changing it.

This is either because that DDI is not a valid number on that bearer or something else weird that the network is doing.

The bottom line here is that it is sending the number you want it to, the cause lies outside of the IPO. Possibly the reason detailed above.

There seems to be something strange going on here in your trace in that it is trying line 7 and 8 before settling on line 6. Are you trying to send CLI over a trunk and that cli does not match the number on that trunk?

Line 7 & 8 are not used (no isdn interface connected)

I'm little bit confused, I have 6 ISDN-BRA lines -> I see that one of them says the number I try to dial out (send outgoing number). Does that mean that I have to make the outgoing call over that line?

Thanks man!

An ISDN circuit has numbers assigned to it.

You can have four ISDN 2 circuits all with the same numbers assigned. In this scenario you could send a cli over all of those circuits.

If your ISDN2 circuits all have different numbers then you cannot send a CLI over all of those.

You can only send a cli over a circuit if that number you are trying to send is registered on the circuit you are trying to dial over.

I thank you for your help!! I will call the provider to check out how this is configured.

Thanks!

I'm guessing you're located in the Netherlands.
Normally you only send 9 digits to the provider.
leave the leading zero out.

To be sure you can also look in the monitor when a call comes in. You'll then see how many digits are supplied to you by the provider. Normally KPN=9 and you should send 9 digits as well to the line.
I hope all 6 lines lines belong to the same group (p-p lines from the provider) otherwise you cannot send ddi information to them. Only numbers belonging to the line can be send to that line. Others will be ignored (causing cause100 error).
Set line 7 and 8 to another linegroupnumber and they will not be tried again.

No, I'm located in Belgium :)

I get this in the monitor when I call in:

9194751mS CD: CALL: 5.6.1 State=1 Cut=1 Music=2.0 Aend="Line 5" (3.1) Bend="" [Cad Bureel(245)] (0.0) CalledNum=245 (Cad Bureel) CallingNum=0498175805 () Internal=0 Time=14 AState=1
9194752mS ISDNL1Tx: v=5 peb=5

So there must be something with the lines, I will call the provider :)

Yes when i had already posted the message I saw the nlb locale in the trace. So I already knew you were located in Belgium.
Succes with your provider I hope they are willing to cooporate.
