I am currently on a laptop in a hotel and have this linked to the internet wirelessly.
I have a VPN connected using PPTP to a Linksys RV082. I can ping my IP Office unit on 10.1.2.4 and it replies.
Phone Manager will not list the unit as it only uses broadcast and will not find hte unit over a separate subnet.
I shared my WIFI connection with my lan port and plugged hte 5610SW IP in but it never connects.
I plugged a second laptop into my lan port and it can not ping through to the IP Office unless I add a route, so I am assuming this is the problem with the 5610 and I can`t a dd a route to this.
Quite simply I want to connec teither my softphone or my 5610 is there any way to do this with the setup I have. Is there any software or any way of making the broadcast work across the subnet? Maybe there is a some third party softfone software that will work with the IP Office.
I have managed to ru system monitor successfully!
I wonder why Avaya Phone Mnager cna only use broadcast when I know hte IP Address already, can it be made to use IP Address instead of braodcast?
Any help woudl be appreicated.
Thanks
Kevin
