Somebody help me! I have been banging my head against the monitor (quite hard in fact) with this little problem. I am trying to have different records within a continuous form to have different properties, namely background colour. The idea is that with certain field values, the user is notified with the whole entry being highlighted. My various attempts at this simply change all the field background colours, and not the ones just associated with the record concerned. I have seen this done! Thanks...

And I've done it. What version of Access are you using? Peter Meachem

If you send me an email, I'll send you a form that shows how to do it. It's rather hard to explain. Peter Meachem

Sounds interesting, I would like to know too.

Peter, I would be greatly indebted if you'd send me the same. My current project has the same problem.

I am currently working on a form also and would like to see how this is done if you don't mind adding me to your list? Thanks! Jackie

A copy for me too, please Peter.

Angelique, if you send me an email I'll send you the code.

The code, which seems rather popular, will display a text box in a particular colour behind other controls when some condition is true, and won't when it isn't. It can either be behind 1 or more control, or the whole line. It doesn't do different colours, just 1 or nothing.

Peter,
a bit monotonous, but I'd like to have a look at it as well.

I think I've sent the form to everyone now. Has anyone been left off, and was it what you needed? Peter Meachem

Late entry, but I'd like to use it too.

Do you know how to mix fonts within a field?

Thanks

Please send me a copy of this code if you can I'll appreciate it.
amideo@altavista.com

I've put the code on my web site.

It is at
The sample shows a yellow background when the right hand field on the form
is 0. Look at the data statement and the funny font for the yellow control.
I've not needed to do more than one colour right across, that may not work

To mix fonts in a field I guess you can use a rich text box and save the text as rtf. You can in VB anyway. Peter Meachem
