When opening certain web sites appears Information bar with the text
" An add-on for this website failed to run . Check the security settings in Internet
options for potential conflicts . "
I tried everything to solve this problem stated MS , reinstall IE 8 , but even that did not help .
The same problem is repeated again .
Also while working with IE 7 , again the occurrence Information bar .
This is not happening with all the web sites , only to some, such as this :
.
On computer is installed XP SP3 with IE 8
The conflict arises from the Add- ons " Shockwave Flash Object Name
Publisher Adobe Systems Incorporated
Status Enabled
File date Friday, February 15 , 2014 , 5:08 PM
Version 11.8.800.94 "
If I turn it off , then Youtube is not working, Infobar no more appears , but declared
that is missing add-on of that page .
I do not know what more I can do to solve this problem .
I checked for viruses and malware , all is clear .
I noticed this problem appears after install OIbit program - I uninsalled it ,but Information bar stil present on certain WEB sites.

I tried installing the shockwave earlier, repeated again, but it did not help.
The installed version - the 12th - the last version of Adobe Flash Player

I could be wrong but I think the version shown in the OP, i.e. 11.8.800.94, actually refers to Flash Player v11.8.800.94, not Shockwave. I couldn't find any reference to a Shockwave Player with that version number.

Google searches also show a number of posts reporting issues with Flash Player v11.8.800.94. It's also very out-of-date.

Probably best to un-install the current Flash Player using the Adobe un-installer and then install the latest Flash Player.

Hope this helps...

After test , using a/m link , received " You have version 12,0,0,44 installed "
Yutube is vorking perfectly , but on the site I mentioned in my first post , I stil get yellow "Informatio bar".
What is the problem I can not disable appearance of Information bar and can not use " back " option with this site.
Noticed a differnce with previous status - now in Add-ons is no more shown Shockwave Flash Object.
Thanks very much for tour assistance.
I beleve all this problems are caused from IObit System Care I installed before.
I remove it immediately and cleard Regystry of remainences, but maybe demage was done on Active X 9.0

I must correct my above post.
After reboot checked Add-ons and found old Shockwave 18 ....

I am confused what to do ?

Hi Bronano,

I'm not surprised you are confused... so am I. [smile]

The ActiveX version 11.8.800.94 refers to an old version of the Flash Player ActiveX control, the class ID {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} is for the Shockwave Flash object yet the filename refers to the latest (version 12.0.0.44) Flash ActiveX control.

So it's clear what you have installed and enabled (and what versions), please consider downloading and running Nir Sofir's ActiveX Compatibility Manager (it doesn't need to be installed). Click on the column header labelled Company and scroll down to Adobe Systems, Inc. Select the Adobe entries and copy/paste just these entries into a reply.

Hope this helps...

In the end I managed to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, but a problem with the Information bar remains.
Attached is a copy of the add-on:

Please advice for what to do next
I will follow what you mentione Rick998 and will report

Actually, it's even more confusing... 'cos on my XP box Nir Sofir's ActiveX Compatibility Manager shows that I have two Flash32_12_0_0_44.ocx files - both enabled - one with a ProgID of ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash.11 (?) and the other with a ProgID of FlashFactory.FlashFactory.1. <scratches head>

They are both showing as C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash32_12_0_0_44.ocx yet there is only one Flash32_12_0_0_44.ocx file in the location. I believe this means that the information in the registry of my XP box is inaccurate or perhaps corrupt.

Hi Rick998,
This is what you ask, as following:

Hmm.. I must have missed any advance warning that Adobe were releasing a Flash Player update to v12.0.0.70 but you are right.

What I still find confusing is that as far as I (and Google [smile]) am aware the Class ID: {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} refers to the Shockwave Flash component, not Flash Player. (I could be wrong but I think the CLSID for Flash is {D27CDB70-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}.)

As a matter of interest (in case I run into it myself), what version of IObit System Care was it? Was it Advanced SystemCare 7 Free? I might do a bit of testing on an XP VM using InCtrl5 to see what's installed with it.

Also, when the problem occurs does Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc) show anything (probably under Application rather than System). I use Nir Sofir's MyEventViewer so I can see both Application and System events at the same time.

Hope this helps...

In Event Viewer no errors for Application and also for System
If remember well IObit System Care was Advanced SystemCare 7 Free
Thanks for Nir Sofir's MyEventViewer , nice tool

Hi Bronano,
The Shockwave Player is showing as disabled.

{166B1BCA-3F9C-11CF-8075-444553540000} Disabled Shockwave ActiveX Control Adobe Systems, Inc. Shockwave 12.0.9r149 SwCtl.SwCtl.11 Yes C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Director\SwDir_1209149.dll 2/20/2014 2:05:46 PM

Using Nir Sofir's ActiveX Compatibility Manager can you please enable it and say what effect it has on your information bar.

(For info, using Windows XP SP3 and IE8 in a virtual machine I went to The first thing I noticed is that the information bar showed the Compatibility View icon indicating an issue with the site using IE8. Is this what you see?)

Hi Bronano,

I'm trying to duplicate your install of Advanced SystemCare 7 in my VM. When you installed it, did you do the Express install (which includes the IOBit Apps Toolbar and, amongst other things, changed your default search provider to Yahoo!) or did you do a Custom install?

Hi Rick998.

-Enabled Active X according your instruction- no changes, problem remain

-When opening Stasera site receiving as always yellow information bar with this:
“An add-on for this website failed to run. Check the security settings in Internet options for potential conflicts.”

-IObit System care was installed as Expres but without IOBit Apps Toolbar. IObit Uninstaller and IObit updater were installed.
After I removed all in connection with this program , even deleting it in Registry

-Re Compatibility view in IE 8,I have the same image as you show

Hi Rick998,
Now when working with IE8 , receiving the same Information bar even when opening this site besides Stasera....
It's possible to start Comptible view

Hi Rick998,

As an addendum to my post above, when I open compartibility view icon disappears
I noticed that I could not send a reply using IE8
Now I am using Fifox

Ugh! What a horrible experience installing Advanced SystemCare 7 Free was, particularly as it added Slick Savings' Coupon Helper (not mentioned in the installer dialogs). It also added Home Page and Search Engine settings changes for Google Chrome and Firefox (even though they weren't installed on the VM) as well as for IE8... plus an IObit Apps Toolbar for IE 8 and Firefox.

However, it didn't make any changes within C:\Windows\System32\Macromedia\Flash where the Flash files are stored.

I re-booted and visited both Stasera and Tek-tips. Stasera showed the Compatibility View icon in the infobar but Tek-tips didn't. You appear to have the latest version of Flash Player installed so I did the same. I re-visited Stasera and Tek-tips - no difference to the infobar.

You also appear to have the latest Shockwave Player (v.12.0.9.149) installed, albeit disabled... (but no enabled) so I did the same. (I hate Adobe's attempts to sideload Chrome and a 30-day trial of Norton Internet Security). I re-visited Stasera and Tek-tips - no difference to the infobar.

Your problems appeared to begin when you un-installed Advanced SystemCare 7 Free so I'm going to do this next.

A couple of questions... when you un-installed Advanced System Care 7, did you also un-install the rest of the IObit apps (including Slick Savings and Surfing Protection, if installed)?
uninstall.jpg

Also, can you see Adobe Shockwave Player 12.0 in Add or Remove Programs?

Yes, I uninstalled both these two programs of IObit.
I can see the Adobe Flash Player 12 Active X, and
Adobe Shockvawe Player 12.0 in Add or Remove
IObit Uninstaller and IObit System Care were uninstalled too.
