I found a thread on this forum regarding these files,
I googled them because I've got chronic disk space problems on my C: volume on the company's server and these bad boys are taking up lots of the space.
I'm what passes for the IT manager at a small company with about 20 user network. Our relatively new server was inexplicably set up with a partition which limits the C: volume to 12GB out of a total of about 120GB, the rest being on the D: volume. My Priv1.edb is about 5GB and in total i have 200MB of space left on the C: volume.
I wish i could start again and have the thing split a bit more sensibly but i was in the dark when the IT fella was setting it up. Server stuff very new to me.
Anyway, i think i will be ok for a good while if i can move these edb files to the D: volume and point the Storage Groups i read about in the other thread to access the new address.
I wanted to ask some proper professionals whether there were any other issues i needed to consider here or if i can just go ahead and past the files somewhere on the D volume and change the settings in the Storage Group databases tab.
