I would appreciate some help on this in Tampa on an Avaya 430 cm5.2

My PRI- T-1 slips on the list measurement status all day long. There is only 1 span for all calls in and out. I am familiar to the change sync commands but my system does not recognize these commands. I have set my DS-1 to error correction Y. After reviewing some notes I do know that my span is set to the tone board on the Gateway. Is there a way to change it to sync to the network? Would this help?
I can get into the server thru telnet but I dont know any server commands that work or to change this. Can anyone walk me thru this or give me the steps associated to correct this? Or am I on the right track?

Thanks in Advance!

telnet to the media gateway and use commands in the thread below.

Media Gateway Sync commands

Slips are usually a wiring or provider issue.

Avaya. Too little or no help? Expensive?

Sync commands are available when you telnet to the media-gateway

Sorry for the duplicate posts. This website is throwing out errors which make it appear to not be updating.

Thanks alot...I will try this later this afternoon. My customer says alot has cleared up since i changed to error correction to Yes on the ds1 config, but there still are some crackling/slips on the span.
Carrier (as Usual) says he is running clean isolated from the Avaya pbx on a test last night.
I will post back when I can try those server commands and set to network clock

Well,
I just have found out that I do not have the Gateway 430 password. I only have the CM and the Server passwords. So I did a little searching around and called a tech and he has told me to use root root but that does not work,
I have also seen (init password???) ,root root1, and root rootroot and none of these work. any help on this would be appreciated.
Tier3 please chime in!

Do you have a console cable for the MG?

Yes I do have a console cable (crossover correct)...?
Do i need to do this on site because I have been remoted in via dialup

MG console cable

This is not a crossover cable. You need this on-site and must be done from the MG console port.
