I have a question, My customer doesn't have a external csu, I used a patch cable. I set all the parameters by Global Systems Instructions by Gladys. O.K This is an ISDN PRI, using the first 10 voice only, I set these to ESF,B8ZS and DMS-100. when I set up my B-channels I did 1323-1301 but I cannot do the lines it doesnt except them (801-820) 821 it will take after this number 821 and so on. What am I doing wrong or can you give me the instructive order to my set-up. If I am missing anything please help I really need it on this one. My e-mail address is listed or post back thank you.

P.S. I am getting a red alarm on my 100D DS1 card

Can you provide a layout of the cards in this system, I think that may provide a clue.

I would use a CSU!! It's inexpensive enough. It really acts more like a surge protector in my eyes, but it's the way to go.

Based on your Module Layout, your first T1 (PRI) Port IS 821.

I hope that clears it up....

Your B-channel group should only include the 10 channels you are using, i.e. 1301 thru 1310. Your lines would be 821 thru 830. You must also verify that your providers switch is set for "Custom".

You should also use a CSU as it provides error correction and additional troubleshooting tools for you and the provider.

Thanks guys Ill check those helpful hints out and let you know if it works.

hey guys ok PRI working can receive calls but can't dial out whats missing I get a fast busy as you can tell I am new at the T1 installs. Any input

Well, you should 1st bypass ARS. Set and ext. up with a dial out code. Enter in the pool number you're using for the PRI. Then you'll know if it's ARS or not.

Make sure you went into outgoing, special service, delete digit, pattern 5 and made that 0, unless this is an AT&T PRI not wanting to see the 1 for LD.

Check everything in your outgoing table.
Make sure your Network type is correct.
