Hello, I have been getting requests from customers over the past few months on any kind of PM/Routine Maintenance checklists that might exist for the smaller Avaya product lines. They have their own IT guys who are responsible for the day-to-day support of their systems and they would love a simple checklist or log to show what actions they did, when and who did it. Besides the basic backups and checking environmental conditions, they are looking for more. We only plan on providing this to those customers who "know what they are doing". Thanks.
 
Apart from a regular backup you shouldnt need much more unless your system is regularly reconfigured, evan then a regular backup takes care of that....3.2 Manager has the audit trail, create specific users and see when and what they have done..........
 
for the ip office i have been making cdrw's with all wav's and greetings, call flows and manager config. the new 3.2 makes a different bak file for every change but i take the most resent one. i have also been installing monitoring software on the voicemail pc that monitors fans and the like. and with raid installed on the drive hard drive failures are not an issue anymore.
you can also have the windows backup the avaya folder to a network drive that gives some more redundancy if the system would crash.

Canned air is a good tool to blow out the partners and magix's but the ipo has no vents in it.

The biggest thing that i have found to be a good idea is to have backups that are not stored on the ip or vmail server so if something does go wrong the it can be fixed
