power off remote shelf

I have not had to do to much maintenance on the Nortel CS1K. Looking to see if I am correct to take down remote shelf.
On Sunday the maintenance department is shutting down the power to a fiber remote shelf. Am I missing any steps to take down the shelf? How do I bring it back up?

I've lost power to a remote shelf several times over the years. They always come back on their own when power is restored. I would cut the IPE shelf breakers manually and turn them on after power has stabilized. I do have them running on UPS's, so I have several hours of run-time before power is lost, but it has happened.

Thank you. I have UPS with run time of 1 hour. Typically the generator kicks on, but they are taking that down as well. unfortunately the other week, my remote shelf did not recover by itself. I would prefer a more graceful exit.

I would just power down the remote shelf via breakers not the power supply switch as those like to stick and not come back. It is really hit or miss if the shelf will come back up. I have had ones that come back 100% of the time and others that I have to fight with for an hour to get back up. If it doesn't come back up you just have to start disabling and reseating things til you make the switch happy again.
