I have set up a post call survey on Avaya CM3. When the survey call is complete the call loops back to the VDN and goes through the routing again.

02 announcement 23443
03 route-to number 90********** with cov n if unconditionally

Maybe change stop to a disconnect and see what happens

That didn't work, thanks. Didn't think it would.

I think I need to use variables, local persistent but I am not clue'd up enough to understand where to place them and which values I will be looking for.

have you tried to do a list trace vector and see what it says as to why it is looping

Have you tried using the 'Return Destination' on the VDN form? That's where the call will route when the original call terminates.

So when I trace the original incoming call, the trace stops at that VDN. I don't see the next VDN. When I trace the Return to Destination VDN so VDN2, I don't see the loop in the trace.

Is there a vector associated with the Return Destination VDN?

Kevin

To better explain this:

I have VDN1 configured with a Return VDN destination for VDN2. VDN2 is the VDN that routes to the external survey system by using a route to command in the vector to an external number.

When the route to command has completed and you are connected to the Survey System, once you have completed the Survey the call loops back into VDN 2 and goes through the Vector Steps again from the start.

I want something that is going to recognise the this caller has already been in this queue and send them to disconnect when they get looped back into VDN2 again.

You need to set a flag, so that when the call comes back, if knows that it has been through already, then just disconnects.

wait-time 2 secs hearing ringback
+ goto step xx if digits = 9999999
set digits = 9999999
announcement 23443
route-to number 90********** with cov n if unconditionally
+ xx disconnect after announcement none
stop
