poor quality on analog trunks 1

so installed my second ipo this evening and everything went smoothly except two things. The second is the moh which i think is just the cable so i am not that worried about it.

the first is that on all of the external lines (all analog trunks) i get a wooshing noise

the other party cannot hear it but it is definitely there on my end

has anyone found it to be anything else besides having to swap out the ip500 v2?

i am hoping it is something else but if not i plan on swapping it out tomorrow night
 
btw.. i have a combo card with 4 trunks on it and an atm 4 with 3 trunks on that
 
phoneguy, check the PCS level of the combo card and on what version is the IPO?

We are experiencing the same issues. The problem is very apparent during the call setup process when the customer first makes the outward call.

Is this not a known issue with some combo units as stated by tlpeter , also the kit must be earthed correctly as that can contribute...more likly tlpeters resolve though.

Go to line analog options and balance the impedance on every used trunk using the automatic option,it work well for me.

Btw, your system must be in US to have this option.
 

I had the same problem few months ago, there are a hardware issues with combo trunk card. If your card is pcs05 replace it for a pcs07
 
R8 still has anomolies in call setup with analog trunks and 96XX sets.
Whoose and white noise levels elevated during call setup.
Replaced IP500v2 and PCS on Combo cards checks out okay.
Good ground and clean power. No remedy in Line settings or VCM settings.
4th and 10.
Customer wants to punt in away.
Avaya will have us deep in the corner on this one.
