Hi can anyone help with this issue?

I have 4* Analogue lines on a IP500 V2 SW:6.0.8.

When testing at NTTP lines are fine, all internal comms have no interference.

As soon as you pick up any of the external lines you start getting a whooshing noise in the background, as if you have your car window a little bit open while your driving. A really annoying whistle.

I have tried earthing the system, running in a new cable for the lines and the option mains power filtering in the line programming.

Has anyone else got or had this issue and how do i fix it?

regards Skippy.

I have earthed it with 4mm2 direct to main earthing block on mains incomer.

We have had this same thing on 3 recently installed V2's is this a known issue?

have this exact same issue today on a new install, going to try to replace with a new IP500v2.

replaced with new IP500v2, problem went away, reused all original cards. It was just the processor that was causing the whooshing sound.

we thought it was a combo card, so we replaced it with a ds8 atm4 and a phone 2

that did nothing
then we replaced the system
and that fiannly fixed the issues....

one other site we played with the gains to make it tolerable till we could figure out this issue...

total we have had 3 of these in the last 2 months.

I am starting to think that there is a bunk lot out there...

Same issue here. Loop start lines on ATM boards in IP500V2 and 5410 phones. There is no noise on a analog extension port. Well at least none detectable on a polycom phone.

Anyone try the impedance match to resolve?
How about PCS of control unit. This one is 03.

Interesting, I just did an install with 4 analog trunks last week and have a weird noise in the background of all calls on all the phones except one. I was going to replace the combo card next week as I've grounded, tested, played with the line settings and nothing seemed to fix. From what I'm reading above I should swap the v2 instead of the combo eh?

We had this exact problem. After much troubleshooting, a new v2 fixed it.

I just had this pop up on another 500v2 install last week. Replacing one with a new v2 today. Crossing my fingers it works! :)

I posted a few weeks ago about a similar issue with v2 and combo card and analog lines. The difference I have is that customer is gets ringing in ear after handset is picked up and call does not connect until ring is complete.. I have checked the line swith Butt set and no issue there.. I have replaced the combo card and still have issue.. replacing the V2 this week.. Hopefully that works.

Just replaced v2 on one of the ones I have with the issue and it fixed it. Now I just hope I don't replace a bad one with a bad one or tell my salesmen to quit selling systems with analog :)
