Polycom Digital Connect - no dialtone

Hello,

I've got a polycom digital connect. I've set this up as a 2616 as directed. CLS= UNR, HFA

I can hear the DTMF but I do not receive any dial tone. I've tried plugging in a 3903 into the same port and I have dial tone.

Is this a common problem?

May be they have send you the wrong/defective Polycom. Try it on the analog port see if it works.

possibly defective - but it is a digital phone. It does not like analog ports.

Then I would say it’s defective.

Check polarity. Maybe the cord on the Polycom is wired in reverse.
