I need some help with a Magix. I am trying to point a DID to a calling group so outside callers will connect directly to the group members. I was told that I could re-number an existing calling group to the DID that I plan on using and that should do it. I renumbered 771 to 5811 (DID) and added 3 members to 5811 but no phones ring when I call the DID. I selected "ring all" for the hunt type. Am I missing something?

Did you set the Group Type to "autologin"? The default is "autologout". Since they are logged out - no phone will ring. So try changing the Group Type of 5811 to autologin.

how many digits are you being sent (ie 5811 or 811),
can you dial it internally.

4 Digits are being sent and I haven't had them dial 5811 internally. I'll have them try it.

I did leave the group type set at auto logout so I'll change that and test it again.

There's kind of an old proverb with the calling groups at all levels of the MErlins: "No loggy, no cally". I think it's in the Avaya docs somewhere.

Changing the group type to Auto Login fixed the issue and the phones ring when the DID is called. Thanks for the help!
