Hi,
We have a CM 5.2 - We created a PMS port (Node-Names IP, services-IP and PMS endpoint as PMS).
We are trying a home application to connect to the PMS port. The link is up but the protocol is down and thus no commands can be executed. We tried the 3 options for the PMS protocol (normal, transparent and transparent with ASCII=YES) with no success.
In Nortel, we used to have a terminal port (not PMS) which we can connect using hyper-terminal and run check in/out commands without the need of a PMS software.
Is there any similar in CM?
If the PMS software is mandatory, is there any free tool to test (liked the RDTT tool for CDR) to test the commands via a terminal?
Note that we are migrating from Nortel to CM and the customer will not buy a PMS software for a feature that was done via hyper-terminal. Also the customer wants to run these commands by software and not using console buttons.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
