I'm playing the "filecopy.avi" on a form while my file copy is in progress. (Duh!) I've got the background set to transparent. It does dissapear (the background) when I am in the designer, but when the form is running I see a kinda pukie purple background. It makes no difference how the background is set.

How can I correct this so my "informative" screen is pretty?

TIA

You need to provide more infomation for the situation. What version and SP level of VFP? What control are you using to play the .AVI file? If it's not a VFP control, what version are you using? What OS are you running? Do you have themes enabled? Does this happen on other OS's?

vfp 7.0 w/sp1, windows 2000, can't say about other OSs only OS I need this for.

ffc/_multimedia.vcx, class videoplayer

OK,
It appears that's this due to the file itself - try running it in Media Player, same "purple" background!

There is probably some property that the MCI API uses to set the a transparent color, but I haven't had a need to played with this.

I hope that someone else has been there before!
