i have a site with an ip 403 using bt sensor 500 slt's with plantronic's cs60 attached when the users phone rings and youn get a beeping in your ear to notify you of the call. the problem i'm having is some of them have lost the beep and plantronics are saying it is to do with cadence levels on the ip office but if this was the case surely all the headset would have lost the beeps. just wonering if anyone else has had this problem and if so if you know of a fix.

thanks in advance

the cs60's are cordless headsets right ? sound like the mic pickup on the lifters are not in the correct place. Had this problem with 5420's, added a bit of extra double sided tape, found the middle of the speaker and seated the lifter.

The tone in headset works straight away now.

The extra bit of double sided tape on the bottom side of the lifter helps with the 5410 lifter function aswell, as it keeps the handpiece level.

The lifter usually comes with an extra mic for these sort of prob aswell.

By the way this is a pretty awesome headset for the 54 series. Customers love them!

thanks for this jesterrock

getting the site to try this now will update when we get results

thanks again

heres hoping someone else may have some ideas.

Sounds like either a phone or lifter/pickup issue, try changing with one that works.

Reseat faulty lifter on diff handset, adjust ring volumes

Its a pain sometimes but mucking around with it usually gets results.

I'm not sure what sets you are using but there is a known compatibility issue with the HL10 and Merlin phones, including the 44xx series. The type of ring the system generates is not detected by the ringing algorithm within the HL10 lifter. Using the HL1 lifter will solve this. That lifter does not have the same ring detection problems.

This info is listed on the Plantronics website under the compatibility results for those phones:

The HL10 can be exchanged through the Service Center for the HL1 at no charge.

We changed out the lifters and had no more problems.

Hope this helps.
